I'm Baaaack! Florida day 1

Before I left for Florida DH got me this wonderful cake. It is a Tiramisu cake and my favorite! Doesn't it look good?...It was!
50th bday cake
I packed like a mad woman and left early in the morning. I arrived on the 10th at Mary's place. I had the aqua and brown quilt with me. I didn't want to wrap it so I tied it up with 2 brown ribbons with aqua polka dots. This is Mary opening her gift to thank her not only for opening up her home to me but for being my friend for the last 15 years. Love ya Mary! Her bedroom in Florida is green and brown so we took off the green pillows and here is the quilt on her bed there. It is going to come home though since she has renters and she doesn't want anyone to ruin it.

This little guy, an Anole, was the first thing that greeted me as I arrived (besides Mary of course, you silly!) I think they are so cute. There were lighter ones and these kind of black ones too. We used to catch them when we were kids and we went to visit my grandparents in Florida.

The first thing we did was get our swim suits on and go to the pool. This is what we saw as we walked up to the pool. Beautiful! I spent a LOT of time here, LOL. It was so hot there I never did g0 into the hot tub though.

We went out with some of her friends that first night and I was fading fast so we went home and I was able to go to bed. ZZZZZ...
I did wake up quite early and ready to go the next day. Most of the days ran together but the next one was my birthday so I will tell you all about it tomorrow!

What a beautiful quilt, I'm sure your friend will cherish it always. I found your blog awhile back through your neighborhood block bom, although I didn't join in. Thought I would stop by and say hello.
