Time to Re-focus

Ever have one of those days? That was me yesterday. I HATE this getting up at 4:30 am that I have to do for work at the moment. Then everything I did did not work yesterday, grrr. I was anticipating my crock pot dinner all day. It was HORRIBLE!!! I couldn't even eat it. Then on my way to the gym I got an email telling me I did not advance in the McCall's quilt challenge contest. WTH? I had mixed feeling about that to begin with. I didn't feel worthy, worried about the timing and so forth. Obviously God has other plans for me. *SIGH* Now I just feel slightly depressed and let down and tired, really, really, tired.

Sorry to be so down, I know it will pass but you may not hear from me for a few days while I shift my focus and see where I need to be in my life. I just need a little while to regroup and decide what I want to work on. The good thing is that I can now go to NYC and enjoy myself without worrying about the challenge. That's good right? I will be helping LTW with an open house and a Halloween party, that's good too. Baby steps.

Thanks to all of you who voted faithfully. It just wasn't what God had planned for me. I know He will reveal what's in store in His time. It just reminds me that I need to practice patience.

We all have days like that from time to time, you'll get through it just the same. Keep your chin up, new sights in the city will be your reward for remembering where you left your smile!

Contests are all well and good but the public is very fickle; this says absolutely nothing about the quality of your work, which is lovely.

WTH is right!!!! IMHO there were only 3 quilts that were worth even looking at. Well, don't sweat this, you know we all love your work :0)

If it's any consolation ... whenever I have "one of those days" life seems to step in with something absolutely marvelous! Maybe because I'm so down in the dumps that ANYTHING good will be marvelous but ... hang in there - all will be OK. Maybe it's hormones! LOL

They're right, we all have our bad days. As for the poster ------------I'm not sure that is going away, and I too, can hardly tolerate it anymore. Just saw a picture of the Muslim holiday stamp, this afternoon, I just saw red. I like what the Austrailians are doing, but the USA will never go that far. Too bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One year I prayed for patience and He gave me a whole bunch of things to be patient about. It was a really hard time but I learned to be patient rather than ask for it. Life got much better. And life will get better for you, too.

Your work is great. Don't rely on VOTES to assess your worth.

Well hey, so you didn't advance - don't let that stop you. You can do it without them. And now you get to go on a leisurely trip to NY!

We all know you're a great designer Pam, so just keep on, ok?

Sorry you feel so down! I had a horribly down day yesterday, but today was much better. Just when I thought I hit rock bottom, everything changed for the better. That means NYC will rock and next year you'll take first place! Keep on quilting, we're cheering in your corner!
