Snowy Daisies

I know that you have been seeing me make the wedding quilt
for a friend of my husband's and his wife.
I used my Daisy Fields pattern (which you can purchase here).
I made the original one up in all solids.
This one has white and many grays in it.
I used a pop of blue for the centers of the Daisies.
I thought I would like that same blue for the inner border.
I cut all the strips then thought, "maybe I should see how I like that next to the quilt".
Guess what?  I HATED it!
Good reason to use a design wall right?
Ok on to Plan B.
I had a plain blue/gray in the quilt that I thought would work but didn't have enough of.
I *thought* it matched the fabric I bought for the back, so I cut it up and stitched it together then went to cut the additional strips I needed from the back fabric and guess what?
 They didn't match!
UGH, so go with the fabric from the back since that would also be the binding fabric too.
 WHEW, problem solved.
I present you the wedding top (aka Snowy Daisies)

This is the cropped image of the same quilt.

It is not two colors in the background, but since it was just the top
the light came through the top half of the quilt.
I wish you could see it in person.
The pearl bracelets make it just sparkle!
Kind of like the snow here in winter.

This is my WIP for linking up to WIP Wednesday over at Freshly Pieced.

Love to know what you think of it.  The pattern is available at Pink Castle Fabrics.

What are you working on?

I love this quilt! So soft looking but not too feminine.

Love this! I'm making a double wedding ring (using quick curve ruler) with the same background...kind of wish I had done something like this instead! (also blue, grey & white...is this a trend???) :)

Beautiful - I can imagine how the pearl bracelets would just make it twinkle. Lucky wedding couple!
