WIPs With Friends

I have been so busy with the holiday weekend that I have not had a lot of time to sew.
I belatedly remembered last night that I was supposed to pattern test for someone and the deadline for the block was July 7th!
I figured I had best get that done.

The pattern is for a snake and it is so cute!
It is a pattern soon to be released by Unicornharts Patterns and it is called Hugs and Hisses.
I offered to test this paper pieced pattern as my peacock loving daughter also has snakes.
One of her is called Clove and is brown and gold.
She chose those colors for me to use when testing the pattern.

This is a photo she sent me of Clove

This is my version of Hugs and Hisses.
I chose the Sunprint text in eggplant by Alison Glass for the background and
it was perfect for these snake colors.

I plan on adding more of the text and bordering it and making it into a small wallhanging.
I will gift that to my daughter and her husband when it is finished.

Now it is your turn.
 What are you working on?
I will leave the linky open until noon tomorrow since I am posting this so late.
I am also linking up with Sew Fresh Quilts.

Love your daughters pet choices.More the peacocks than the snakes for me, but I do agree all animals are to be valued.
How are the new kitties being accepted? Did you see the new TP Holiday Homies line?

I an no fan of snakes, but that is a great design. The little boys around here would love it.
