A Little Birthday Celebration

Does it seem like birthday celebrations become birthday season celebrations?
Or is it just me?
Well whatever, I am enjoying it all the same!
On Friday night Cori and I prepared to go out on the town together to celebrate our July birthdays.
First up a manicure, for her, and a pedicure, for me.
 It was so much fun!
  Here are the results!

Then of to dinner at The Melting Pot in Ann Arbor.
The Ann Arbor art fair was going on so it was BUSY downtown but we decided to try it anyway.
Cori made a reservation and we were golden.
For those of you that don't know the Melting Pot it is a fondue place.
Realize that all my photos have Cori in them and I'm pretty sure hers have me!
We started with a glass of wine
(we thought it was pretty funny that there were so many glasses on the table).
 What to order?
They let us sample a few and then we each ordered a glass.

First up was the cheese fondue with bread, veggies and apples, YUM!

We ordered the meat part with Lobster, since it didn't cost too much more and
we were both happy that we did.
The lobster and the pork tenderloin were our favorites.

First, I can't believe how full we were at this point and
second I can't believe how long the whole experience took.
I think we were there for just over 3 hours!!
It was so nice for both of us to be out of our homes, together, and catching up.
I am excited to make this our annual birthday celebration.
Now on to dessert!

I didn't think to take a photo until we were half way though our food!
The rice krispie treats were the best dipped in the milk chocolate.
We decided that for our birthday we would also share a dessert of choice (chosen by the birthday girl)
mine was Tiramisu hers with this!

I joined up to the eclub for the Melting Pot and got a certificate for 6 free chocolate covered strawberries.  We had to call ahead and they had them waiting.
The manager gave us 2 separate ones for our birthday too.

I took the 2 individual ones and sent these with Cori.  I hope her family enjoyed sharing out night out!

Just when I thought it was back to reality a package showed up on my doorstep from a friend.
She asked that I not blog about it but told me I could share one part of the HUGE package.
She and her daughter are so amazing and I am so happy to have them as my friends.

Isn't it funny how sometimes an online friendship just clicks?
It is great how the internet has shrunk the world!
Thank you my friend for your generosity and thoughtfulness.
  It made my day!!

Life is better with friends!

Thank you to ALL my friends for making this birthday a great one!

Aren't pedicures the absolute best..I got one a week ago and it was sooo needed. Ayden had to tag along, but he did pretty well with a McDonalds toy and talking to a boy next to use getting a pedicure (weird!)
