I received a few more blocks over the weekend.
These beauties came from my friend Judy in Michigan. They were awesome, thank you, Judy!
These came from my friend Jenny.
I got to meet Jenny in a class in Indiana a few years ago and we have kept in touch.
Jenny makes the best quilts!
She is on IG as @krousegirl2 if you want to check her out. You will NOT be sorry!
I especially love the disappearing cross and the bright green one with the word HOPE in the cross. Thanks Jenny!
On sunday I was furiously sewing blocks together into rows.
Notably absent was my usual helper, hmmm.
I used every single block that I had received in this top and finished the top on Sunday night.
It is still a WIP because I need to send it to the quilter, but first I need to make the back.
I left some signature squares at the church and need to design a back to incorporate them as well as embroider the label and put that into the back too
( so I don't have to sew it on later).
I may not be blogging again until next week now as I leave for Glamp Stitchalot on Thursday morning and will be gone all weekend.
So look for more posts next week.
Thanks to everyone that helped me to get this done quickly.
Father Cooper is in the hospital preparing for a stem cell transplant
so prayers are greatly appreciated!

ReplyDeleteLooks great! See you at Glamp!!!
ReplyDeleteThis quilt is beautiful. I love how seeing other people's quilts opens your eyes to things because I would never have chosen these colours but I love them.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt looks great! Great job piecing together from various quilters, not always easy. So glad I was able to contribute to such a wonderful gift for Father Cooper. Prays for him.
ReplyDeleteall these blocks have worked well together, do you not quilt it your yourself, I am struggling trying to learn how to do it successfully
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely fresh design - incredible that they're all donated blocks and go together so well :)
