I cut out a baby quilt while I was at my friend, Debbie's house.
It is the Dogs In Sweaters pattern by Elizabeth Hartman.

It is so cute!
The dogs are weiner dogs...in sweaters, LOL!
I decided to work on the individual dogs on Saturday.
I used minky for the dogs.
I love Elizabeth Hartman's patterns, but using 1" square pieces of minky is tricky.
I did a LOT of unsewing.
Here are my 4 dogs all finished:

Oopsie, see the problem in this block?
I didn't either until I had fully assembled the top.
DANG, that meant unsewing the block and fixing it, which you can see.

So here is the quilt top all finished!
Now I have to send it to my quilter and have it quilted.
Isn't it so cute? How would you quilt it??

Oh I love this! and the minky - I bet it feels so soft - just like a real puppy!!!
ReplyDeleteSo very cute and the little baby boy will be very happy. Maybe quilt it with little bones and food dishes? Could not see the error in the 4th dog, maybe his mouth? Looks like a stern doggie so that isn't so bad. Keep up the good work!!
ReplyDeleteIt’s beautiful, Pam. I thinking wavy lines so it looks like they’re walking, lol.
ReplyDeleteFound the error - thanks for the hint.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! This will be a tactile joy for one lucky little boy.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I love your use of minky. The best item for baby/toddler are different textures and primary colors. You made the perfect quilt for a boy or girl.
