I have been working on a few things this past weekend.
None of which were my Ocean Waves quilt though.
I have a shower gift to make and I began working on a Chenille blanket for
my newest great nephew born last week.
I made the bee block for February. Isn't it adorable?
I'm pretty sure I need to make an entire quilt of strawberries now.
I finished the oven mitts but can't show them = (
I have to wait until I can gift those.
I did begin working on the chenille blanket I needed to have ready to mail out this week.
So many lines of sewing!
If you want to make one too check out my Chenille blanket tutorial.
I managed to get all the lines sewn and then later cut. Then I just need to bind, wash and mail!
Hubby and I went to the Camper and RV show this past weekend.
We are totally in love with these Retro campers.
We drove by the factory last time we were in Shipshewana (accidently) and discovered them.
They make a fifth wheel but there was not a model at the camper show.
We did speak with someone that is going to try to get us a factory tour and talk about what our options are with a fifth wheel and the cost.
SQEE!!
This is one of the things we are planning on doing when I retire.
TRAVEL!!!
Can we come and see YOU???
This is not the interior of the Retro but another one that we liked.
The show was overwhelming, but it did help us narrow down the things we liked and did NOT like. He kept on saying,
"We have to make sure there will be a place for you to set up your sewing machine"
Ah, he knows how to make a girl happy!
Last but not least, I am working on a Yeti receiving blanket.
If I had a brain in my head I would make this into a quilt rather than a receiving blanket,
but I don't so there you have it!
I think I need to change out the lips for a more subtle shade of pink.
(she looks more clown/whorish than I like right now).
So no big deal, but I have to get her stitched around and
the receiving blanket part done by next week for the baby shower!
I'll keep you posted.
Curious about the giveaway?

I live in Kentucky and would recommend you visit Red River Gorge. It has lots of hiking trails and gorgeous scenery! It's also within a couple hours' drive of Lexington, KY where there are lovely horse farms and horse racing and distilleries that you can tour.
ReplyDeleteI'm in Michigan. I suggest you visit Tequomenon Falls (not sure I spelled that right)in the U.P. It is beautiful and root beer colored.
ReplyDeleteYou should visit Missouri Star Quilt in Hamilton MO. They have a "Glamper Retreat" every year.
ReplyDeleteYou should. Is it the redwood forest by Eureka, California. It's awe inspiring, looking up at all those gentle giants. Extremely breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteNY - go to Adirondack Park - it is huge 6 million acres. 24Tangent@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI live in Colorado and you must visit Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Beautiful mountains and fresh air. I would love to meet you in person and since I'm just beginning to quilt (taking a beginner's course now), maybe you could mentor me for a day! diane.feldstein@caci.com is my email.
ReplyDeleteThe Smokie mountains but I live in N.W. Ga ! we have Howard Finister's place where he lived and painted here in my small town
ReplyDeleteI'm in Canada but if you want to travel this way be sure to visit Banff and Jasper National Parks. Hubby and I would be happy to act as guides.
ReplyDeleteIf you come through Wisconsin you should for sure drive the Mississippi River north with stops in La Crosse. Beautiful country.
ReplyDeleteI live in Spain and I invite you to come to Murcia there are wonderful montains and beaches and many monuments to see and the food is delicious and we are very kind.
ReplyDelete5th wheels are great! My parents had one that wasnt huge but had two recliners and sofa and the table with chairs. It was great!
ReplyDeleteYou already mentioned the place I was going to suggest: Shipshewana. Great for those of us with fabric addictions! PS - I love that little yeti design. It's adorable!
ReplyDeleteWhat one place to visit in Montana is a tough question. So many choices besides the obvious, Yellowstone and Glacier parks. (I know the majority of Yellowstone is in Wyoming but us Montana's like to think it also belongs in our state as we have the majority of the entrances to the park!) ;) I would say the Beartooth highway is a definite must see but I wouldn't take a camper on it. A good day trip with your truck. Gorgeous views and super windy road.
ReplyDeleteYou have to come up to Canada and visit Pukaskswa Narional Park close to where I live in Northwestern Ontario - it is truly spectacular!!!
ReplyDeleteItasca State Park when the Mississippi River begins.
ReplyDeleteFaithful reader, enjoy your site.
thanks,
Christine

Stanley Lake (near Stanley Idaho). Camp on a weeknight mid week when it isn't busy and prepare for cold, but it is like having your own private mountain--spectacularly beautiful, and if the Rangers have a class on anything, take it in.
ReplyDeleteGo to Colorado, the Pikes Peak area is wonderful but remember warm clothes and blankets.
