I wrote this post previously and now Amanda Jean and Cheryl
are going to be telling you all about us.
The behind the scenes pattern testers.
It was a wonderful experience
and a blessing to work with Amanda Jean!
I hope to be able to do so again in the future.
Most of you know who Amanda Jean is (Crazy Mom Quilts)
well she and Cheryl Arkison have written a book,
Sunday Morning Quilts.

I have to say this is one amazing book!!
I like everything about it.
It is well written with easy to follow directions.
The quilts in the book are wonderful, I want to make them all.
On top of all that it is also reasonably priced.
WTG ladies!!
You did a fabulous job.
This is a book all quilters should own!
I first met Amanda Jean at a retreat in Grand Rapids for
Margaret's Hope Chest.
Margaret's Hope Chest.
We hit it off right away.
Long story short I was able to test a pattern in the book for her.
It's the one called High Five.
Amanda Jean's looks like this:
My version looks like this:
I have been dying to share this but could not until the book came out.
So on page 120 there is little blurb about "Make it yours".
The 3rd and 4th ones are talking about my quilt!!
I was so excited that she put this in the book!!
From the bottom of my heart,
I appreciate AJ allowing me to test one of her fabulous quilts.
Here is the little part in her book that thanks all the pattern testers.
Very Sweet!
That's me Pam Lincoln!!
Seriously, what a wonderful book!
I hope it becomes a smashing success!!
Couldn't happen to nicer people!

Congratulations!! Love your version of the quilt. I love it when a book gives another way to look at a quilt.
Congrats! Your version is great. Will have to check out the new book.

Congratulation on your part and being named in this book Pam! I can't wait for mine to get here!
WTG! Congratualations. Your quilt is lovely.
Both quilts are great--and each so distinctively different! Congrats on being a part of the new book!

Congratulations - I have been reading reviews of the book and all great - I may have to pick one up for my daughter, sounds like something she would love and use.

Congratulations Pam! I love the colour and flow of your quilt. Beautiful!
Your version is awesome. I loved the Make it yours sections about each of the quilts. Those two did an awesome job. I am trying to decide which one to try first. I am tempted to make the scrap baskets first. I have mine in plastic bins, but those are soooo much prettier!!
Congrats Pam! I am a big Amanda Jean fan. Your quilt is fabulous...how fun to call her 'friend'! Plan to purchase this book soon>

Your version is so pretty. One of the most favorite quilts I have seen until now. The colors and size difference of the middle blocks is great. Love it.
well done Pam, you made a gorgeous version of that quilt! i love the restictions you appliced and really made it yours!
Your version of the quilt really does make it your own. I just love how the pattern pops with the limited colors and the placement you used.
It is lovely! Love seeing everyone's take on the patterns in the book! Great job!
Your version is fabulous! I can't wait to get this book!
I love the similarities and differences between your quilt and Amanda Jean's! It's always neat to see what can be done with the same pattern + a few color differences!
That is the first quilt I want to try from that book (although my list of want-to-makes is a mile long), and I love your version.
Great Job!
Beautiful!
Love your version!!
What a great opportunity to test for AJ and Cheryl! Your version really shows how adaptable the pattern is.
Love your color combination....it is so you. Awesome job!!!
I really like both quilts, but for different reasons. Amanda's is bright and cheerful and very flirty. But yours has depth and shows off the true pattern, and best of all is in my favorite color palette. One kind of loses the pattern in hers because of all the colors distracting your eyes. I'm sure it was very fun for you to be a pattern tester. It's all about discovering what you can do with fabric and color. Pretty Cool that you got mentioned too. Let me know if you ever need a pattern tester. I'm always looking to try new ideas, techniques and other color palettes. I started a another new top in turqouise and fuschia last night. Hope to be done thursday or so. Once complete will makes 8 quilt tops I've fininshed in the last 6 weeks. I can't stay away from the sewing machine, kills me to go to my day job!! All I think about while working is sewing when I get home. :)
Your version is a beauty! Love how you played with the value. It's just stunning.
Stunning, beautiful quilt!
