I am linking up with the women over at One Monthly Goal for this post.
In addition to having this on my spreadsheet as a goal for May I am putting it here too.
I want to make a MSU quilt for my husband, for our camper bed, to use in the fall.
I have been diligently collecting greens I can use to piece the top, but had not done
hardly any cutting until last night.
Here is what my cutting table looked like.
I have been cutting for this quilt, for another quilt that needs greens and making a pile for a friend.
She is making a quilt that needs 50 of the green squares
(I think she told me she is actually making 7 of these quilts so she needs a LOT of green!!)
I figured out that if I cut my squares at 5" I will need 342 squares to make my quilt the size I want.
I have over 200 cut so far. My goal is to have this top completed this month.
I need to sew all the 5" squares together then applique a gigantic Spartan helmet to the top in white.
I have cut some MSU Spartan fabrics to add to the top also.
If anyone has any of the more green MSU fabrics and could send a 5" square that would be great!
If you have any other Spartan green fabrics (you can see the colors I was cutting)
please email me and I will give you my address.
Needing 342 squares, I would love some variation if anyone has any darker/kelly greens to share.
I may be able to help you with something if you ask too.
My email is mamaspark@gmail.com
Thanks for the inspiration to get er done!
