My Gifts For Little Miss

 I gave some gifts from the baby registry, but I made a lot too.

It was exciting to get to make for a new baby.

First up were burp cloths.

I made 2 flannel crib sheets and one knit one (rainbow)

Self binding blanket

The bear fabric is flannel and the green is a very soft Minky

I embroidered bear faces on both the white and pink Onise.

These were 3-6 month size and a real pain to do!

Came out really cute though.

The bear face ones are the ones my daughter requested.

The other 2 were total surprises for her.

I loved this little rainbow design.

I found this adorable Onsie at Hobby Lobby!

Much easier since this was a 6 month size.

This unicorn face turned out well too.

I put a cushy fleece on the back so the embroidery wouldn't be scratchy on Little Miss

I found this onsie on Amazon.

Unicorn embroidery was from ETSY.

These were so fun to do (well mostly, LOL)

When my daughter opened these, she said maybe she was going to have me

 make more embroidered clothing!

I have a quilt to get working on next.

Current Projects

 I am in a slight panic mode about sewing.

I have been in a slump since my return from NC.

I finally went into my room yesterday and did some cleanup.

I wanted to make some new burp cloths for Little Miss.

Here is what I came up with.

I actually made 5 of each Cats, rainbows and unicorns.

I did use different backs on some of them.

I figured out that I can get 5 fronts or backs out of 1/2 yard of fabric.

My son asked me to make a Spartan quilt for a friend of his that was expecting a first baby.

His friend and wife attended MSU and are now living in Ann Arbor.

So my son said that baby needs to have to proper alliance.

He needs to be a Spartan, not root for the "other" team.

I found a pattern I thought would make a great baby quilt.

It is called BQ2.

The blocks finish at 9"

This was a very quick make.

I cut it out and sewed it all in one day!!

I happened to have some Spartan flannel in my stash for the back.

Winner winner chicken dinner!!

My quilter is dropping off LOTS of quilts tomorrow.

I will give her this one when she drops off.

Things I've Been Working On

 This week hubby has been gone to Canada. 

 I always look forward to having a week to myself to do whatever I want to.

I worked on some gifts and some baby gifts.

One of my favorite people at the Biolife plasma center is expecting.

They are doing Winnie the Pooh for the nursery.

I made 2 crib sheets and some wash cloths and burp cloths for her.

I made her 2 self binding blankets too.

I also made some sheets, burp cloths and washcloths for another friend.

I found the cutest basket at JAF this week too.

It is even Cole approved!

Bjorn Bear

My Niece and her husband are expecting their second baby.

They found out it will be a boy.

I had all the stuff to make the Elizabeth Hartman pattern, Bjorn Bear.

I used a Grunge for the background and a FQ bundle of cross weaves for the bears.

 If you look closely, 
you can see that I used fabric from each bear face in a strip along the bottom in the binding.

My quilter, Liz, did bees all around the bears.

They turned out so cute!

She did bear paws in the outer border.

I love it!

I had some bear Minky in my stash, but needed just a bit more, so my SIL cam to my rescue.

She had some that she let me use.  

I was even able to pattern match those cute bear faces.

I LOVE these labels from Ever Emblem for labeling.

So quick and easy!

I sent along some more burp cloths.

That bear one was made from left overs of the matching sheet I sent along with the quilt too.

This is the bear sheet, finished.

That lion backing goes to another quilt that has not been gifted yet. 

I mailed off the goodies to my niece.

She has received them so I felt I could now post about them.

Baby Burp Cloths

 I have been on a burp cloth making kick. 

 I had SO many cut out already.  

I was cleaning in my room and decided that if I sewed up everything I had cut

 maybe it would make a little more space. 

 Hardly, LOL. 

 I will be destashing when I get back from NC so

 I have been putting fabric into bins for the big destash too.

I listed the burp cloths in my ETSY shop if you are interested in purchasing one or more.

Catching Up With Makes

 I have been SO busy sewing and trying to finish my "to do" list. 
 (and no, Margie, I have not forgotten about the stockings).
I have LOADS of Christmas presents to finish binding, some baby quilts to ship out, and baby shower gifts that I needed to make.

First up is to share what I made for Avery for his first birthday.  

I put together a car mat, and made a Bendy Bag to put the little cars in and

 then a Midi bag to put it all in.  

This way his mom can carry everything together.

  Isn't that mat the bomb?

You can see both bags here.  Loved making them and will likely make more .

I used Hot Wheels fabric on the back of the mat too.

I was working on a quilt back that needed some attention  

The front was made using the fabric line called Dorothy's Journey.  

So I used the panel for the back and then I broke out my embroidery machine to make this crown and the label for the quilt. 

 I'm still a beginner with my machine so was pretty proud of myself to make this!

I had the BEST helpers.

Next up a lovey using the cutest skunk flannel and some minky.

Of course, my signature chenille blanket!

Made another 6 burp cloths

2 receiving blankets

2 crib sheets

Here it is all together, but I added some resuable wipes in a container, 

and some teethers that I made, and a sloth Warmie.  

Plus 2 books.

Another chenille blanket and a Tiger Warmie. 

 How cute is this combo??

I may need to find more of this fabric. 

Making the tiger stripes for the chenille was so cute!

I have a few more things to share but they need to be gifted first.

I leave for a retreat in WI on Tuesday.

Will likely not post again until I get home since I can't show gifts.

PHEW!  Lots of new stuff!!
