Are you sick of looking at my chenille blankets yet? I have one more after this that I have to make (ie baby showers) This is the third one of the 4 I have to do. I am in total LOVE with the chenille on this one. It is so rich and vibrant. I decided to go with 3 shades of pink dark, medium and light with an orange for the foundation. I put the darkest flannel on the top, then the med and then the light. I tried to take some photos this morning (in the dark) and they don't really do the thing justice. It is gorgeous IRL!! I am hoping for some better light for more pictures later. I finished the binding last night and stayed up late to wash and dry it. Well guess what? I completely forgot to put my label on it! So what I hear you say, right? Except I usually slip the ends of the tape under the binding. So now I have the dilemma of do I take out some stitches to put in the binding and re-sew the binding on or just leave it unlabeled. I'm leaving it up to you guys to help me decide so please leave me a comment and let me know which you would suggest. Vote in the poll on my side bar!
You can see the orange peeking through the layers of pink if you look close up. Also see how the binding has shriveled up with the crinkly goodness of the chenille, which I fear will make re-doing it a pain. OK, it's up to you to help me decide what to do. It's like a WWMSD question! LOL

If you normally label quilts, then you must go to this extra trouble in the interests of consistancy
i didn't put a label on my newest granddaughter's quilt and that was the first thing Earth Science noticed when he looked at it ... sigh
i'm undecided on voting, though ... i think it is absolutely adorable the way it is, but you always label your quilts ... so if i vote to leave the binding alone and use a different label, don't go thinking that it isn't adorable without one, 'kay?!?
I say leave the binding alone and use a different label (I voted). Love the colors in the little quilt!!
I'm loving these chenille quilts... you are putting together some great colors that really sing once chenille-ified!
I like your labels and think you should put one on this quilt too. Labels add a je ne sais quoi to a quilt.
Yeah, I'm loving the chenille quilts, too! :)
So cute! I love all the pinkness! I'm working on a chenille scarf; hope it turns out as well as all of your projects.
I am a firm believer of labeling - and I always put my signature on a corner seam hidden by the binding. It won't take that long to add.
I say label it....but you could try to turn under the label edge.....butt it up to the edge of the binding and stitch in the ditch...... just a thought. Show you a new technique and you go crazy girl...sEw glad you like the technique. They do make a beautiful baby gift.
Woman, you better claim that beauty! Pop those stitches, it'll still look gorgeous.
Label it, it is so pretty. Please consider doing a tutorial on these. I would love to make one for new grandbaby. Thanks for sharing.Bernie
I never thought to put the label under the binding. I just hand sewed the label on after I put the binding on. Just posted middle daughters quilt and I have a picture of the very large label also. Love you baby quilts. They are wonderful.
