How is it September Already?

I can't believe I have not posted since March!
YIKES!!
I have had the BEST time babysitting for Theo!
My stint ended on August 5.
I'm currently back in MI for a few weeks so thought I would try to catch this blog up
(hopefully I still have followers reading!
Since posting I finished this pattern test top for Meags and Me.
I can't remember the name of the pattern though.

The kids drove to MI at the end of June.
First time Theo got to see Lake Mi.
They loved it!

I had a retreat at Creative Passions with my friends.
I finished this Sew Place Like Home in the camper but brought it to show my friends.
It went home with my friend Traci to display in her shop in WI.

This group of ladies were my company at the CP retreat in July.
Love them so much!

I pattern tested this Kittens in Kerchiefs for Sew Fresh Quilts.
I made mine into a pillow top.
I still need to quilt it and finish the pillow.

I also finished this in the camper.
I used Alice In Wonderland fabric for the triangles.
Pattern is Triangle Pop

Kailie and I were supposed to do a swap but I decided to keep my stars and make this.
I had all my stars made and put the top together at retreat.
Line of star fabric is Summersault by Erin McMorris.

I had the blocks for a coral limerick made.
I learned how to use the web method to put it together and boy was that quick!
Pattern is by A Crafty Fox

I made this garbage truck quilt while in the camper and brought it with me for photos.
I have since gotten it quilted and gifted it to Avery.

I also finished this one in the camper.
I have since gotten it quilted and gifted it to my husband's uncle Tom.

Second green Limerick!
I have the first one all quilted and need to bind.
I made all the blocks in the camper but put it together using the web method at retreat.

OK I am going to stop here and continue later.
I am off to another retreat at CP with a couple of friends tonight.
It will be the first time I have done a weekday retreat there.

I probably have WAY too many projects packed but hoping to make some progress.

Some Finishes

I have a few quilts to share so thought I would do another post.
First up is this adorable fox quilt.
This will be heading to my goddaughter, eventually.

I used the softest fleece with little foxes on it for the backing.

This little beauty was made using all left over fabrics from my stash.
I will be selling this one in my ETSY shop in the near future.
The bears in the center are Minky.

I used some Winnie The Pooh minky on the back of this one.
It is quilted with bees.

I also made a couple of self binding blankets to gift shortly.
The dogs are flannel and the blue dot is Minky.

I had a small piece of MSU Minky so got to use it in this one.
It is also being gifted soon.

Next up are 2 quilts I made out of flannel.
This first one was made from the left overs of the bigger one.
It iwll be up for sale in my shop soon too.

Tire track quilting.

This is the original truck quilt I made.
It is all flannel.
It came out so dang cute!

I found the cutest Minky with construction vehicles all over it for the backing.

Finished my little Hedgehog quilt.
Minky, flannel embroidered hedgies.
Also going into my ETSY shop.

This one is going to be gifted for a friend's wedding

Such gorgeous quilting!

The quilting really shows up on the back, doesn't it?

That's some recent finishes.
I have to take pictures of the others.
There are more, oh yes many more!

Avery's Baby Quilt

I don't think I have shared Avery's baby quilt yet.
I have had it done for quite some time but didn't want to share it until I had gifted it.
I made the bear quilt designed by Annie Brady, using her  Big Sky fabric line.
I bought the kit and then decided to only make the bear center part.
My daughter loved it and so did I!

My LAQ used wood grain as if the bear were looking out of the trees.  I love it!

I found the cutest minky for the back too.

I had made a little self binding blanket using fox flannel and gray minky for the center.

Turns out that little fox blanket is being used all the time!
It is the perfect size.

So next time I will share the thing I am the proudest about making for the baby.

Intrigued?

Stay tuned!

Sewing Time With My Sister

Over Labor Day weekend I traveled to my sister (in laws) house to spend time with her.

She and I have been crafters for many years.  We go to 2 local retreats together every year now.  I love spending time with her!

On Friday we went on our own private shop hop.  I try to do this with her at least once a year.  We went to my favorite, Keans, and Yards of Fabric then on to  Country Stitches.

At Country Stitches they had this amazing Minky Peacock panel.  I didn't buy it but it was amazing.  I may need to go back and pick it up.  I need to see if my daughter would even want something made out of it before I spend the money for it.

I loved this beach quilt!  I also refrained from purchasing this pattern but I really loved it.  I think it was a BOM .

If you know me you know how much I love Halloween.  I loved this kit called Flying School.  Now it combined my love of Halloween, quilting and the fact that I married a pilot into one kit.  The roller skates were part of the kit as was the hair, but I just didn't want to spend the money.  It is adorable though and if you need one I am sure you can give them a call.

After we stopped at Cornwall's Turkeyville for a great turkey lunch!  We had hoped to go to Marshall but they closed at 2 as did the next shop.  That was a bummer since their website said they were open until 5!  We found one more shop to visit out in the middle of nowhere though, LOL.  I think it was in Leroy.  It was called Quilt 'N Go.  I was plesantly surprised by this shop!

This barn was in the back of the shop.

The shop didn't look like much from the outside but it was a really nice little shop!  Very bright and cheerful with LOTS of current lines of fabric!

I think next time we do this we will begin with the shops in the Marshall area and then progress to the Mason/Lansing shops.

We went back to her house and just hung out and sewed some.  The next day though we got right to sewing.  I brought the baby quilt I needed to bind and got the binding sewn on to it.  I brought my Changing Station pattern and "stuff" to make that but didn't have one of the things I needed.  Then I brought another baby quilt to work on and cut one of the HST wrong.  That's it, I was out of things to make!  I had cut out a bear quilt for her and I at our July retreat so I just sewed that for her!

I managed to get the bear quilt all finished for her.  We picked up some of the bear Minky from JAF that I had previously purchased for mine (if I ever get to that).  The quilt is Big Sky by Annie Brady.  This is the Minky for the back.  So stinkin cute!

I have been doing a lot of Keto cooking lately and will have a post about that soon too.

What are you guys working on right now?
