More Cats

Just figured out how to make a new Header.

What do you think?

I didn't have much time to sew but I got a couple of cats done from the Catventalong.

I love making these little guys!! 

 I need some more solids in the yellow/green families to make more though.

I finished up the wedding quilt top and back today. 

 The back is awesome and it took forever. 

 This quilt is a beast at 88 x 100 inches. 

 I am considering how to have it quilted or how to quilt it myself.  

I got some happy mail this weekend too.

That #thegreatfabricdestash on Instagram has been good and bad! 

 I had some great helpers sitting on either side of me while typing.

And on my right, Hallie.  

She was so cute with her arm wrapped around my new book 318 Patchwork Patterns. 

 Pricey but well worth it!!

So you can see there is some creating going on here after all.

I Love Cats

I'm really certain you did not know this about me, but now you do! 

 I have 4 cats and one dog.  

The cats are getting elderly but I love all of them.  

When I saw Oh Fransson's Catvent QAL how could I resist those adorable cat faces?

  Truth is I couldn't!  

I had very little time to sew before Christmas but have since made a few more of them. 

I now have 8 of the 25 finished.

I know you are all sad that this is as many cat faces as I have done.  

Never fear, I have loads more to make!

Considering making one with all turquoise cats later on too.

Maybe one with all black cats for Halloween?

OMGosh so many possibilities. 

Or the attention span of a goldfish will lure me away to finish some UFO's.

*sigh*

Catvent QAL

Is anyone else out there participating in Elizabeth Hartman's Catvent QAL? 

 It's 25 different cat faces in 25 days. 

 Like Advent but with cats!  

It's just purrrrrrfecct.  

I had some "have to" sewing that I needed to finish this past weekend.  

I got that almost finished.  

Just need to stitch around some letters and it will be done. 

 I can't post about it as they are gifts, 

which stinks as you will LOVE these projects once I can blog about them!

I really wanted to join in the Catvent QAL.  

My friend, Stephanie, convinced me to at least get started.  

Without further ado meet the first two cats in my Catvent QAL litter.

First up is Ferdinand. 

All handsome decked out in Tula Pink fabrics he is my first born.

The second born is Bearnadette.  

Isn't she adorable?

Almost looks like she is winking!

Look for some new fur fabric babies to join the litter soon!

There is always room for one more cat in the litter!!
