Catching You Up

I have SO much to catch you up on this will take many posts! 

 I am going to try to do this over the next few days.  

I am back to work but we have limited access so I will post as I can.

First I will talk about my quilt tops that I have been working on/completed.  

When I was working on one of the traveling quilts I made some "broken dishes". 

I had some left over fabrics and my brilliant idea was to use up the fabrics and

 make a broken dishes quilt. 

I knew it would be small and this is the finished quilt top. 

 I will be using this for a picnic quilt or a table topper.  

I totally love the way it came out!

I had a few squares left over from the Framed Folk quilt so 

I made a few more and then made this baby quilt top. 

No specific person in mind for this one though.  

I love this pattern and can see myself making it again.  The blocks were really fun to put together!

Next up was a Minky play mat that I had laying around.

Since my daughter is having a baby BOY, I will just hang on to it for a friend or for her future child.

Isn't it so sweet?

I practiced my free motion quilting around the spots and flowers

Well, I've finally done it.  I took the Peter Rabbit counted cross stitch vignettes that I stitched in 

1985-89 and put them into a quilt top!!! 

 I had some fabric that also had scenes from Peter Rabbit so framed them all and made this top.  

I had bought the sashing/border fabric YEARS ago too.  

At first when I only put the blocks on my design wall I was so unhappy with it.  

I could NOT make myself work on it, even thought I really wanted to get this done. 

 One day I forced myself to put it together and now I am so glad I did! 

 Originally it was just what is between the green lines.  

Then I figured that I may as well use up that sashing fabric and make the quilt longer 

(not a fan of square quilts). 

 I LOVE it!!  

Then I realized that I want to bind it in the green, which I only had a FQ of to begin with, 

UGH of course.  

So another friend helped me find it and she is sending it to me in the mail.

These cross stitch blocks have been my oldest WIP by far!

I can't even begin to tell you how tickled I am to have these done.

Not the best pics of the actual cross stitch, but you can see they are very detailed!

The original cross stitch book didn't have the story so I added that to each block.

This time at home was productive but it could have been even more.

IDK about you but I was just stuck for about the first 2 weeks.

I had zero motivation to do anything.

Then once that passed I was so thrilled to have time to work on some projects,

(in between mask making of course, LOL)
