Excuse Me...I'm Trying To Sew Here

That's what I was saying while trying to finish my reindeer wall hanging last night. I got the new cardinal cut out and thought I would finish blanket stitching around my reindeer when my "helper" (and I use this term loosely) would NOT leave me alone.

"But mom, I'm sure I can help you with that."

"OK, maybe I'll just rest here for a minute."
Autumn 005

I didn't manage to capture her rolling all over the reindeer but trust me she did. Finally when she tried to "catch" my needle going up and down, I put her off my table.

Oh Autumn, you are such a PEST!! Do any of you have "helpers" too?

BTW, I did get it done so tonight is make a back and the binding, followed by cutting more cardinals out and possibly sewing some of them too.
What do you have planned for the weekend??

Going to a craft fair and to a quilt shop I have not been to before with my stitching friends. Then to my best friends house to work on our Christmas projects. Actually need to go get my machine packed in the car along with a large tub of felt, sewing essentials, movies to watch, books to swap. Have a great weekend!

Yes, I've got one JUST like that. He sits and flicks his tail back and forth right next to the needle! And lays all over EVERYTHING. But they're just too darned cute!

She is just darling! I miss my helpers!! We've got a Girl Scout troop up here tomorrow, so I'll stay close to home -- a good reason to play in my sewing room! I've got SO many things to work on! :)

My "Muffin" likes to sit on top of the sewing machine...this hampers the flow of thread a bit! I'm working on a bed size quilt using Moda Frolic by Sandy Gervais. I'm making the "Boxed In" pattern and it's soooo fun!

I don't have a helper at home but I sure do at my son's place. Gus the cat, climbs behind the chair and snakes his way down my shoulder and under the quilt, and then gets upset if I need to move the hoop to stitch a new area. Then Cody the HUGE dog comes up and pants in my face because Gus is getting attention and then there's my Grandaughter Saige who says "Watch this Gramma" every two seconds. Needless to say, I'm not getting as much quilting done as I thought I would on my vacation LOL.

Yep, Mr. Red likes to help by sitting on the fabric I'm trying to sew. I've had to resort to putting his favorite blanket near the sewing machine, and inviting him to sit there. Usually works!

Oh, she is so SWEET!
I have two helpers, Daisy and Murphy. Occasionally, I have to shut them out of the sewing room for their own safety! I always feel so mean when I do that!

Beeeyoootiful cat! And such a good helper, too :-) Yup, I've got one of those, too. She's a wonderful sewing room companion, but I have to be very careful about leaving pins or threads where she can get them.

I love this post! We have an old white cat that just lays down on my newspaper when I try to read it!
He's a hoot! We have a kitten that chases our pen or pencil when we are writing! It's hysterical!
My weekend plans are to decorate for Christmas!!
