JRQAL Block 6

I did manage to get something else finished this weekend. I made block 6 in the Jelly Roll Quilt Along. I had to laugh, I made the inner part and forgot the borders, thought I was finished until I put it with the other blocks. Then I realized I had forgotten the borders! Fixed that and now it really is done.

I just adore that little bunny in the center don't you? I used it last time I made this quilt in this block too.

I managed to get the next 12 Days of Christmas block(s) cut out too but not sewn. It is always interesting to try to put the sewing room back to the way it was before Christmas, so I spent time doing that as well as making lists of things I need "to do". I will show you the blocks once they are finished.

If you have read this blog for awhile you know that we have 5 cats. On Saturday night DH was trying to enjoy a bowl of ice cream when 3 moochers showed up to eyeball his ice cream! I managed to snap this pic while they were paying attention to him instead of me!

Went with DD1 to see the Harry Potter movie last night. I have to say I thought it was pretty good. I will be sad to have them end. Work today, bummer, but kind of a slow day which is nice for a Monday.

Happiness: On Saturday, I suggested DH might like to go to Cabela's while I was at LTW's. That made him happy! Sunday, I went to the movie with DD1 and that made us both happy. Today, PTM and I ordered a pattern I have wanted for a long time and it was on sale (still WAY too much) but we will both use it. This made us both happy.

What did you do to make someone happy this weekend?

Oh man, that picture is so funny! That's what happens when we eat ice cream or macaroni n cheese at our house! Thanks for the laugh!

Oh my I have so much to comment on. The happy, I started painting the wainscoting that hubs has been putting up. That made him deliriously happy! Love your hubs and cats pics. We have one cat he is old and mean and lives in hubs den downstairs. And the block, really cute. Did you cut the mouse out of the jelly roll or something else? I did not sew today, put another coat of paint on the walls, made hubs happy yet another day. I like your word you are using it well.

every time i sit down with my lunch during the week, greedy little moochers surround me, too - but they are human, not feline

what did i do to make someone happy ... oooo! i know this one - i made grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup during the snow storm yesterday and Auntia gobbled it up! she left some for me - so that made ME happy, too ... and now i'm gonna go make myself even happier - there's a pot of chicken and dumplings just waiting to tell me, "poor sweet baby - you've had a hard day, so here's some comfort food"

I'm glad I only have one cat - cuz she does that to me no matter what I eat! Too funny. Love your blocks, that bunny is adorable!

This past weekend we finally celebrated Christmas with DD and family. We had been out of town, then were too shook up from our accident, had unexpected company and then had to work around her work schedule. It was nice to be able to enjoy their company with no stress.

I've been going through my old scraps and I came across that same bunny on a yellow background - did you know it dates from 29 years ago when I was pregnant with my first daughter! Too funny!

Congrats on getting on Stash Manicure, I can't wait to see your post.
